IWS stands for International Watercolor Society.
1 What is IWS?
The International Watercolor Network's mission is to support and spread the watercolor technique, and nowadays has two divisions: The International Watercolor Society, and the International Watercolor Institutions. The first one is a non-profit organization, while the second one is grounded on a commercial basis. All its members, both branches and institutions, encourage love, harmony, and peace worldwide.

4 Is this organization only for watercolor?
No, it embraces other art expressions, such as music, ceramic, calligraphy, etc.
5How to join IWS?
One can address directly the leader of the branch or institution in which he/she is interested. institutions in IWS.
6Can I contact anyone at IWS?
Yes, in the Directory one can find the information of branches and institutions in IWS.
7What is the difference between institutions and branch?
Both leaders and the institutions have completely the same rights and authorizations with the difference that institutions including galleries, academies, centers and so on are commercial parts of the IWS society and they are allowed to earn money for the services their provide. This s while the countries leaders are considered as none profit ones and are not permitted to demand money for their services.
8What are the conditions for participating in IWS events?
All participants can freely attend in all international festivals by leaders, representatives and even individually. They can decide whether they make their payments, send or return their artworks by leaders, institutions or personally.
Participation in IWS contests is not conditioned to IWS institutions or branches membership. All artists whether members or none-members can freely participate in all IWS events.
The countries leaders, representatives and all branches of IWS are approved .
All registered events in IWS calendar are approved equally by the society and they are all supported and credited by IWS society.
